Quilt Show: Save it for Sunday @ FivePine Lodge
Jul 14 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

We host a special guest lecturer and quilts on display among the pines at FivePine Lodge & Conference Center during Save it for Sunday. We are honored to have authors and Modern Quilt Guild leaders Alissa Haight Carlton and Elizabeth Hartman, share what’s happening in the modern quilting movement and host a tour of beautiful quilts from around the country.

Their lecture will get inside the design process and the visual elements of modern quilt design. In the walking tour, they will share their own work, collaborative projects from online quilting bees, and the QuiltCon touring show, which will include the category winners from this modern-focused quilt show. Have you read about modern quilting and wondered what all the fuss was about? This is a great chance to find out more about the process of modern quilt design and to see work from a wide variety of modern quilters. The Walking Tours fill quickly – if you don’t get in and would like to be placed on a wait list for a possible third tour, email info@soqs.org.

Lecture – 11 am – $20
Walking Tours – 9:30 am, 1:30 & 2:30 pm – $15

Lecture tickets are still available!
All Walking Tours are sold out!

Sisters Happy Girl Half Marathon @ FivePine Campus
Nov 2 all-day

The Happy Girls Run Sisters is an express trail half marathon and 5K on-road run for women taking place in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. Bring your daughter, sister, aunt, mom or best friend and make it a fabulous Fall weekend in Sisters.  The half marathon is sold out, but there is still space available for the 5k.

The Happy Girls Run Sisters half marathon is the “trail” version of the extremely popular Happy Girls Run in Bend. The course takes racers through mainly single-track dirt trails, rolling hills and forest areas of the picturesque Peterson Ridge trail system, just outside of Sisters. This half marathon is an “express” race, meaning that participants enjoy a mostly downhill course and speedy running times. The 5K road race winds through scenic downtown Sisters on roads and paved trails, ending at the FivePine/Three Creeks Brewery campus.

Participants will enjoy a fabulous women’s expo and packet pickup at Five Pine Lodge and Spa, a party at Three Creeks Brewery, and the Sisters Stroll through downtown Sisters. The winners of both the half marathon and 5K races will receive a night’s stay at the beautiful Five Pine Lodge, a one-hour massage at Shibui Spa, and dinner for two at Three Creeks Brewery.
